Privacy Policy

Overview

CardManiacs is a calm reading app for RSS feeds, saved articles, highlights, and your own documents. This policy describes what data the app processes, why, and your choices.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Data you control

Your feeds, articles, bookmarks, highlights, tags, and imported documents are stored on your device and, if you enable sync, in your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. CardManiacs does not operate its own user accounts or cloud servers for your reading library. We cannot access the contents of your library.

Data collected automatically

Usage analytics (TelemetryDeck)

We collect anonymous product interaction and device information (for example app version and OS version) to understand how features are used and improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Crash and performance diagnostics (Sentry)

If the app crashes or encounters a serious error, diagnostic information (such as stack traces and performance signals) may be sent to help us fix stability issues. This data is used for app functionality and diagnostics, not for advertising.

Purchases (Apple / RevenueCat)

If you subscribe to CardManiacs Pro, Apple processes payment and subscription status. RevenueCat helps us validate entitlements and deliver the paywall. Purchase-related data is used to provide the subscription you bought.

What we do not do

• No third-party advertising networks
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking (NSPrivacyTracking is false)
• No sale of personal information

Required system APIs

The app uses standard Apple APIs declared in our privacy manifest, including User Defaults (app preferences), file timestamps (cache and document metadata), and system boot time (performance diagnostics).

Data retention and deletion

Reading data remains on your devices and in your iCloud account until you delete it or remove the app. Analytics and crash reports are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above under each provider's policies.

To remove your library data, delete items in the app or remove CardManiacs data from iCloud in System Settings.

Children

CardManiacs is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13.
